Raiders WR Davante Adams expected to play on TNF in Week 15 vs. Chargers

Raiders WR was dealing with an illness and was listed as questionable. Rest easy, the top wideout is set to play for your fantasy football playoff matchup.

The Las Vegas Raiders will hope to show more offensive firepower in Thursday’s Week 15 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers, although they’re hurting a bit in some key spots. The Raiders managed to get exactly zero points in Week 14 against the Vikings, resulting in a 3-0 loss. Las Vegas will look to avoid that fate Thursday, and will be looking to star receiver Davante Adams to lead the charge.

Davante Adams injury updates

Update — Adams is expected to play despite being listed as questionable with an illness, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. It would have been surprising to see Adams sit out even when the Raiders aren’t playing for much this late in the season. As was mentioned below, as long as Adams is active, you’re playing him in fantasy football.

Adams is officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s contest with an illness, although he’s expected to play through it. Even though the Raiders don’t have much to play for in terms of playoff hopes, the team isn’t mathematically out of the race yet and that means Adams should suit up.

Fantasy football analysis

Let’s be real; you’re not benching Adams unless he’s ruled out in fantasy football. The Raiders receiver remains a star despite his rotating quarterbacks, and he should have a decent showing against LA’s soft secondary. Adams caught eight passes on 13 targets for 75 yards in the first matchup, so he’s a good start assuming he suits up.

Betting analysis

There’s only alternate lines for Adams when it comes to receiving yards, but I’d likely bet he comes close to the 75 yards he had in the opener. We’ll get an official line once his status becomes official, but over 58.5 yards (-170) seems like the best play right now on the alternate lines.
