Game day update: Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are both expected to play, per Adam Schefter. They were both listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has missed the Seahawks’ last two games with an oblique injury. He is still listed as questionable heading into Week 14 against the 49ers, but head coach Pete Carroll is optimistic about Walker’s chances to play on Sunday. He was a full practice participant on Friday.

Fantasy football analysis

Walker’s return will affect running back Zach Charbonnet’s fantasy earnings this week, as Walker will take back the majority of the carries. However, Walker may not be a top option as a fantasy starter this week. He is coming off of an injury and going up against one of the top rushing defenses in the league. San Francisco completely contained the Eagles’ ground attack last week, and he may struggle to gain yardage here.

NFL DFS analysis

The San Francisco defense lets up the third-fewest fantasy points on average to opposing running backs, so you may want to avoid drafting a Seahawks running back this week in your DFS lineup. Walker comes in at $6300 as a FLEX.

Betting analysis

If Walker plays, that can be considered an overall positive for Seahawks bettors, but there are other issues at play here. Geno Smith and Zach Charbonnet are also questionable, and as mentioned, the 49ers rushing defense is extremely effective. If you’re looking for a direct betting effect of Walker’s presence, go ahead and take the under on Charbonnet’s total rushing yards.
