Inactives update: Boyd is active. Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase are also active, so Boyd is only a start in extremely deep leagues this week.

The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Indianapolis Colts for their Week 14 matchup this afternoon and wide receiver Tyler Boyd is listed as questionable for the contest with an ankle injury. He missed practice on Wednesday before being listed as a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.

We’ll go over what his status could mean from a fantasy and betting standpoint below.

Tyler Boyd injury

Fantasy football analysis

Even before the injury, Boyd hasn’t been much of a fantasy threat for the past few weeks. He has combined for just 82 yards off 11 receptions over the last three games and Joe Mixon has made a bigger receiving impact than him. Unless you’re pressed for depth, this is a week to keep him on the bench. You don’t have to wait for his final injury verdict.

NFL DFS analysis

Boyd enters this week’s contest with a DFS price of $4,400. Even though the Colts defense does give up their fair share of points per game, I’d still pass on Boyd and turn towards other value options this afternoon.

Betting analysis

Cincinnati enters the game as a 2-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 44. Boyd’s status shouldn’t have an impact on the spread or the total for this game.
