Game status: Rashid Shaheed is INACTIVE for Sunday’s game.

Game day update: Rashid Shaheed is expected to miss Sunday’s game due to his thigh injury, per Adam Schefter. He is expected back next week vs. the Giants.

The New Orleans Saints will host the Carolina Panthers for their Week 14 matchup this afternoon and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is listed as questionable for the contest with a thigh injury. He was ruled out of last week’s matchup against the Lions and did not practice this week. He will most likely be ruled out of this matchup as well.

We’ll go over what his status could mean from a fantasy and betting standpoint below.

Rashid Shaheed injury

Fantasy football analysis

Shaheed has had a few explosive weeks, but has been hit or miss as a fantasy option. In the two weeks prior to the injury, he caught a combined seven receptions for just 33 yards. Even if he were healthy, I’d sit him and defer to other options for this week.

NFL DFS analysis

Shaheed enters Week 14 with a DFS price of $4,300. He hasn’t made much of an impact in the format as of late, crossing double-digit FP in just one of his last five contests. Again, look elsewhere for good value options at receiver.

Betting analysis

New Orleans enters the game as a 6-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 38.5. Starting quarterback Derek Carr is also listed as questionable and the spread could drop if he’s unable to suit up for this contest.
