The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 13 of the NFL season. Tampa Bay has a chance to eliminate Carolina with a win, but the Buccaneers may be missing a key piece of its offense. Wide receiver Chris Godwin was added to the injury report on Thursday with a neck injury.

Fantasy football analysis

The Tampa Bay passing attack still runs through wide receiver Mike Evans, but Godwin has had a good season as the WR2. He has played in all 11 games and has brought in 53 of his 82 targets for 606 yards and a touchdown. If Godwin isn’t able to play, Evans and Trey Palmer will likely get the most targets for Buccaneers pass catchers.

Despite not having a good record, Carolina is giving up the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. If Godwin is able to play, he is startable in 12-team leagues or larger. Evans is startable in eight-team leagues or larger due to his high target share, including his redzone looks. If Godwin misses the game, Palmer and Deven Thompkins are deep league and DFS dart throws.
