The Miami Dolphins will face the Washington Commanders in Week 13 of the NFL season. Rookie running back De’Von Achane has been sidelined due to a knee injury. He spent time on injured reserve due to the injury and re-aggravated it in his first game back. Achane missed the team’s last game but could return this week against Washington.

De’Von Achane injury updates

Friday PM update: Achane has been removed from the injury report and should be a full go against the Commanders. Let’s hope he fares better than he did in his last attempt to return.

Friday update: Achane is practicing on Friday and head coach Mike McDaniel has said that the running back is expected to play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

Thursday update: Achane was listed as limited again on Thursday. He will have one more day of practice to try and get a full practice in ahead of the weekend.

Wednesday update: Achane began the week by being a limited practice participant on Wednesday.

Fantasy football analysis

Washington’s defense allows the 12th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Achane has played in five games this season and has 461 yards and five touchdowns on 39 carries over five games. He has added 71 yards and two more touchdowns on 10 receptions.

If Achane is active, he can be started in 10-team leagues or larger. There could be some worry about his usage coming off the injury, but he should be good to go in a game that figures to have Miami running the clock out early in the fourth quarter. If Achane misses the game, it just makes Raheem Mostert even more of a must-start than he already is.
