The New York Jets will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13 of the NFL season. The Jets’ offense hasn’t had many bright spots, especially as they continue to trot out Tim Boyle under center. Running back Breece Hall has shown flashes of his talent but hasn’t been able to play consistently. He is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Breece Hall injury updates
Friday update: Hall is being listed as questionable heading into the weekend despite practicing in full on Friday. Running backs Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Izzy Abanikanda (illness) are also listed as questionable.
Thursday update: Hall was listed as a limited practice participant for the second consecutive day on Thursday. He will have one more practice on Friday to try and avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend.
Wednesday update: Hall was a limited practice participant on Wednesday.
Fantasy football analysis
Hall has played in 11 games this season. With no quarterback to help open up the run game, it has been tough sledding. He has picked up 569 yards and two touchdowns on 124 carries. Hall has benefitted from checkdowns from his QBs and has brought in 38 of his 49 targets for 320 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite how bad the Falcons have looked this year, their defense does a solid job of slowing down running backs. They allow the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. If Hall is active, he should only be started in 12-team leagues or larger, and that’s just because there are six teams on bye. If Hall sits, there isn’t a reason to start Cook or Abanikanda except as DFS dart throws.
