The Arizona Cardinals will go on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. After getting a win in Week 10 in Kyler Murray’s return, the team has lost back-to-back games. It won’t get any easier as they take on a tough Steelers defense. Wide receiver Marquise Brown is dealing with a heel injury and isn’t practicing to begin the week.

Marquise Brown injury updates

Friday PM update: Brown is officially questionable to play this weekend due to his heel injury which kept him out of practice all three days. Brown was able to play through the injury last week and caught 6-of-12 targets for 88 yards. The question is how much he aggravated the injury and if he’ll be in a similar spot this week or not.

Friday update: Brown wasn’t spotted during the open portion of Friday’s practice, per Tyler Drake.

Thursday update: Brown is not practicing again on Thursday. If he can’t practice on Friday, he would be a longshot to play on Saturday, and quarterback Kyler Murray would be without his best weapon.

Wednesday update: Brown didn’t practice on Wednesday. For now, this isn’t concerning, but prolonged absences from practice would have him trending in the wrong direction of playing this week.

Fantasy football analysis

Brown looked like he was starting to get into a rhythm to begin the season, but he hasn’t been able to perform consistently. He has played in 12 games this season and has tallied 574 yards and four touchdowns on 51 receptions. Brown leads Arizona in all of his receiving stats and would be a big loss to the offense if he can’t play.

If Brown is active, he can be played in 14-team leagues or larger. The Pittsburgh defense allows the 10th most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. If Brown doesn’t play, some combo of Rondale Moore, Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch would likely take over as the team’s top receivers, but none of them are trustworthy enough as more than DFS dart throws.
