The Green Bay Packers will host the Kansas City Chiefs for their Week 13 matchup on Sunday night and wide receiver Jayden Reed is dealing with a chest injury ahead of the primetime showdown. He’s not been practicing this week and it’s a big question mark of if he’ll be able to suit up for the contest.
Jayden Reed injury updates
Friday PM update: Reed is officially questionable with his chest injury. He was able to play through the injury last week and apparently didn’t have a setback, so he should be leaning toward playing. If so, he is worth a start in fantasy leagues.
Friday update: Reed was spotted at practice, per Matt Schneidman. This is a good sign for his availability this weekend, but we would guess he’ll be listed as questionable at best after missing two practices.
Thursday update: Reed was not spotted at practice on Thursday, marking the second straight day he has missed practice for the Packers. Head coach Matt LaFleur shared that if Reed practiced on Friday, he could play in the primetime battle on Sunday night.
Fantasy football analysis
Reed’s potential absence could be a huge blow for both the Packers and fantasy managers as the team is fighting to stay in the NFC playoff mix. The rookie enters Week 13 as the Packers’ leader in receiving yards, compiling 497 yards off 59 receptions and five touchdowns. He is currently the No. 33 fantasy receiver, averaging 12 FP per game.
If Reed is unable to go, take the over on receptions for Romeo Doubs.
