The Chicago Bears will take on the Minnesota Vikings for Week 12’s edition of Monday Night Football. The last time these teams matched up, Bears’ quarterback Justin Fields suffered an injury that sidelined him for a few weeks. While he is healthy for the rematch, running back D’Onta Foreman is not.
Foreman went into the weekend listed as questionable due to a shin and knee injury. He was downgraded to doubtful and then ruled out for the game. Khalil Herbert will likely take over as the starter, with the rookie Roschon Johnson serving as the backup.
Fantasy football analysis
Foreman has played in seven games this season and has tallied 381 yards and four touchdowns on 92 carries. He added 55 yards and another score on nine receptions. These stats were good enough to make Foreman the overall RB32 in half-PPR scoring. While serving as the lead back for Chicago, however, Foreman finished as the overall RB10 from Week 6 to Week 11.
Herbert being added to injured reserve is what attributed to Foreman taking over as the starter. The Vikings’ defense allows the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. This will be a tough matchup for Herbert in a game that Chicago figures to be trailing late.
