The Seattle Seahawks will host the San Francisco 49ers at 8:20 p.m. ET this evening and running back Kenneth Walker III has been ruled inactive for this Thanksgiving night matchup. Walker exited the first quarter of last Sunday’s loss to the Rams with an oblique injury and never returned to the contest. He did not practice all throughout the week and carried a doubtful designation into the contest.

This is a tough blow for the Seahawks to lose one of their primary offensive weapons for a critical NFC West showdown against the first-place Niners. The second-year tailback has been extremely effective on the ground this year, taking 149 yards for 613 yards and six touchdowns. He entered Week 12 as the No. 7 fantasy running back in standard leagues.

Now that he has been ruled inactive, backup Zach Charbonnet should get a bulk of the carries for Seattle this evening. The rookie had 15 carries for 47 yards in Walker’s place on Sunday.
