The Seattle Seahawks will host the San Francisco 49ers at 8:20 p.m. ET this evening and quarterback Geno Smith has been ruled active for this Thanksgiving night matchup. Smith sustained an elbow injury in Sunday’s loss to the Rams, briefly exiting before returning to the contest in the fourth quarter. He was listed as a limited participant in practice on Tuesday before being a full participant on Wednesday, carrying a questionable designation into Thursday.
This is huge for the Seahawks to have their starting quarterback under center for this NFC West showdown, especially with running back Kenneth Walker III out with his own injury. Smith has been effective for Seattle this season, completing 65.3% of his passes for 2,404 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the year.
Seattle currently finds itself a game back of San Francisco for first place in the NFC West, so this game will be a crucial one for Smith and the Seahawks.
