The Arizona Cardinals will take on the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC West matchup in Week 12. The Cardinals’ offense has built some momentum with the return of quarterback Kyler Murray. They could be short-staffed for wide receivers in this matchup, though, as Marquise Brown is dealing with a heel injury.

Marquise Brown injury updates

Friday update: Brown was back at practice on Friday, and holding him out Thursday was considered precautionary. Still, he is listed as questionable heading into the weekend.

Thursday update: Brown isn’t practicing on Thursday. The lack of at least a limited participation despite the holiday on Thursday is concerning. He is likely going to head into the weekend with an injury designation, but Arizona is hoping it will at least be questionable, and he can log some practice on Friday.

Wednesday update: Brown didn’t practice on Wednesday, but it could just be some extra rest for him.

Fantasy football analysis

Brown heads into this week as the overall WR34 in half-PPR scoring formats. He is Arizona’s top pass-catcher with 45 receptions for 486 yards and four scores on 86 targets. If he is able to play, Brown will take on a Los Angeles defense, giving up middle-of-the-road numbers to opposing wide receivers. If he is active, I think you can start him in 12-team leagues or larger. If he is inactive, Michael Wilson and Rondale Moore would see more targets, but would be way too risky to play in anything smaller than 14-team leagues or in DFS.
