Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins did not dress for practice on Wednesday ahead of the Bengals’ Week 12 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Higgins is dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him out for two weeks already.

Tee Higgins injury updates

Friday update: Higgins has been ruled OUT for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

Thursday update: Higgins didn’t practice again on Thursday. He will have one more day to get back at practice to try and avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend.

Wednesday update: Higgins did not practice on Wednesday, but head coach Zac Taylor said things are “progressing well.”

Fantasy football analysis

In Higgins’ absence, Trenton Irwin and Tyler Boyd have seen an uptick in target shares. However, everything is about to change for the Bengals with Joe Burrow out for the season. It’s hard to say what the fantasy football impact of Higgins’ presence or absence will be without knowing how the offense will look under Jake Browning, but Browning did target Irwin a lot after coming in for the injured Burrow. If Higgins were to miss again, Irwin does seem to have a connection with Browning.

Betting analysis

Again, Higgins’ presence or absence will not impact bettors as much as Burrow’s absence will. The Bengals have a strong receiving group outside of Higgins, so Browning should feel comfortable with his options with or without Higgins.
