Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett is active for their Week 11 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Lockett is dealing with a hamstring injury that has been bothering him for the majority of the season. At this point in his career, Lockett will consistently deal with some minor injuries as he’s in year nine and smaller wide receivers always deal with the stuff like this later in their career.
Lockett has 46 receptions for 494 yards and four touchdowns. It will be close, but he’s looking for his fifth straight 1,000 yard season. DK Metcalf takes away from some of his targets, but the duo has been solid over the past few years. They’re two different types of receivers that complement each other well. Adding Jaxon Smith-Njigba to the wide receiver room just makes them even better.
I would start Lockett against the Rams today. The Rams have a subpar secondary and you have to imagine their game plan will be to stop Metcalf. That should open up the field for Lockett especially on the deep shots. It’s been some time since Geno Smith and Lockett connected on a deep ball, so don’t be surprised if they do this week.
