Keenan Allen injury: What status means for Week 11 vs. Packers

Keenan Allen is dealing with a shoulder injury for Week 11. We break down what it means for fantasy football and betting.

Game status update: Allen is ACTIVE for Sunday’s game.

Game day update: Keenan Allen is expected to play, per Adam Schefter.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen climbed the full injury report ladder this week. After starting the week with a “did not practice” designation, he went from limited on Thursday to a full participant on Friday. The team gave him a questionable designation for its Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers, but he should be on the field, despite the shoulder injury.

Keenan Allen injury

Fantasy football analysis

The shoulder injury, suffered last week, didn’t seem to be much of a hindrance in that game. Allen caught 11 passes on 14 targets for 175 yards and two scores against the Lions. He’s an easy choice week in and week out for a WR1, and that’s not going to change this week against the Packers.

The Packers have given up the second-highest number of PPR points per target to slot receivers this season, according to Fantasy Pros.

NFL DFS analysis

Allen’s good to go in DFS lineups. He’s $9,000 in classic leagues at DraftKings this week, and worth every penny.

Betting analysis

The Chargers are favored by three this week, despite being on the road. If Allen were to sit, it’s obviously a much tougher cover for Los Angeles. The over/under on his receiving yardage is 86.5, and I wouldn’t be at all hesitant to take the over given Allen’s season so far.
