Update: Palmer has returned to the contest.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer sustained an elbow injury during the team’s Sunday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was injured during an incomplete pass attempt to the end zone by quarterback Justin Herbert in the first quarter and was down on the field. He was able to get up and jog to the sidelines, where his elbow was taped up afterwards.

This could present a problem for the Chargers offense considering that fellow wide receiver Mike Williams was injured on the same drive. Palmer has already made a huge impact in this game so far, catching a 50-yard bomb from Herbert to put the Chargers on the board. The young wideout has gotten a boatload of looks in recent weeks, garnering a combined 30 targets over the past three weeks. That has benefitted fantasy managers who have picked up as an alternative to the often injured Keenan Allen.
