Boston Celtics PF Grant Williams was suspended one game for making reckless contact with an official in the team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Williams also directed inappropriate language toward an official before being ejected from the game. If Grant does not appeal, he won’t play in Friday’s matchup vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics entered the season as betting favorites to win the NBA Championship on DraftKings Sportsbook. Boston advanced to the NBA Finals last season, losing in six games to the Golden State Warriors. The Celtics have been without C Robert Williams, who had to undergo knee surgery during the offseason. With both Williams out of the lineup, Boston will be thin in the front court for one game.

With Williams out vs. the Cavs, expect Noah Vonleh to get some more minutes off the bench along with Blake Griffin. Chances are if the game is close/winnable, the Celtics will just run a tight rotation and use Jayson Tatum and Al Horford for most of the game in the front court.
