The Golden State Warriors welcome Klay Thompson back to the lineup Sunday when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers. It’ll be the first time Thompson takes the court since Game 6 of the NBA Finals, which is also the last time Thompson, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry shared a court. When all three are healthy, the Warriors have not been beaten in the West playoffs since winning that 2014-15 championship. Green will take the floor with the starters to honor Thompson’s return but will sit due to calf tightness.

Klay Thompson return: Live tracker for Warriors vs. Cavaliers

End of the game: Warriors win 96-82 over the Cavaliers. Thompson has a successful debut, and Golden State looks like the team to beat if he can keep improving on this performance.

Thompson has been pulled from the game and that’s likely going to cap off his debut. It’s a successful outing for him, the Warriors and the fans. He finishes with 17 points and hits that third triple to cash the over on both props.

Thompson has come back into the game, so Steve Kerr seems intent to get the shooting guard his allotted minutes regardless of the score. Let’s see if he can hit another triple to cash the over on that prop.

End of 3rd Quarter: The Warriors are blowing out the Cavaliers 79-60, which means Thompson might not return to the floor in this contest. The guard has 14 points and has made two three-pointers, so he’s one triple away from cashing both overs on the player props side.

Thompson has been taken out of the game and he’s likely to return to close things out in the fourth quarter, if the game is close. That’s how the Warriors played the first half and that seems to be the best way to manage Thompson’s minutes.

Thompson is starting to heat up. He’s up to 14 points on 6-12 shooting and nailed a 30-foot three-pointer, putting Golden State up by 12 and forcing the Cavs to take a timeout.

Thompson begins the second half in style with a jump shot. He’s up to nine points now.

End of the 2nd Quarter: Thompson is 3-9 overall and 1-4 from behind the arc. He’s got seven points in the contest. As far as his prop bets go, we’ve missed out on Thompson getting the first field goal but over 11.5 points and over 2.5 triples is in play. Warriors lead the Cavaliers 51-46.

It’s his first game in two seasons but Thompson looks good. And he’s dunking on people already.

Thompson has checked back into the game. It looks like there’s a very strict minutes management program here, which is not unexpected.

We’re through more than half of the second quarter and Thompson hasn’t checked back in. There’s no injury that’s known, so this is all part of the management program for the All-Star.

End of the 1st Quarter: Thompson only played four minutes and is 1-5 with two points. He’s missed all three of his three-point attempts. Stephen Curry, on the other hand, is 4-5 and has taken only threes so far. Warriors lead the Cavaliers 24-21.

It looks like the Warriors are going to play Thompson in short spurts to manage his workload. After playing for the first four minutes, he’s checked out of the game.

Thompson has already taken five shots, but has failed to hit his three-point attempts. He’s 1-5 with two points.

Thompson starts 1-1, hitting his first shot of the game. He’s got two points quickly.

Thompson is officially back as a starter for the Warriors.

Here’s a look at the team in the tunnel ahead of the game. There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Thompson’s return.

Pre-game update — Draymond Green is going to start and take the opening tip-off, but isn’t expected to play in tonight’s game, per Shams Charania.

Thompson has arrived at the Chase Center to make his season debut and long-awaited return.

If you’re looking to get in on some action on Klay for his return, the lines aren’t expecting him to do much. Klay to nail the first FG has moved from +700 to +600. It feels like a strong bet if you wanna play the numbers. Check out some more Thompson player props before tip-off over at DraftKings Sportsbook.
