The NBA released its 2021-2022 regular season schedule on Friday. We’ve got a look at the Philadelphia 76ers’ key games and notable odds with the draft a wrap and free agency mostly behind us.

What a difference a season makes. After finishing sixth in 2019-20 and being swept in the first round by the Celtics, the Sixers made some massive improvements by bringing in Doc Rivers as their head coach while signing Seth Curry, Danny Green, and Dwight Howard. The next season, they finished at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 49-23 record, poised to make a deep run in the playoffs. Unfortunately, they exited in the conference semifinals after the Hawks beat them in seven.

Looking to regroup and put in an even better performance next season, Joel Embiid will lead the charge as the Sixers offered him a contract extension reportedly worth $196 million over four years. While they also re-signed Furkan Korkmaz to a multi-year deal, they also picked up some new pieces to help shore up both sides of the court as they grabbed veteran forward Georges Niang from the Utah Jazz and center Andre Drummond from the Lakers. With a couple other younger pieces in draft pick Jaden Springer and undrafted free agent Aaron Henry, they’ll look to make a deeper playoff run in 2021-22.
