The NBA released its 2021-2022 regular season schedule on Friday. We’ve got a look at the Brooklyn Nets’ key games and notable odds with the draft a wrap and free agency mostly behind us.
With three of the biggest stars in the league on their roster, the Nets had a tremendous amount of pressure to win their first-ever NBA title, but they fell short after losing to the eventual champions, the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference semis. James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant brought a ton of talent to the floor but they had a hard time staying healthy simultaneously. Durant featured in all seven games of the Bucks series putting in some incredible performances, but both Irving and Harden played in four games each — and only one of those was together.
The Nets will be with all three of those players next year, including Durant who just signed a multi-year contract extension that’ll keep him in Brooklyn for a while. They’re also bringing back free agents Blake Griffin, who joined midseason last year, and guard Bruce Brown. In addition, Brooklyn also signed four tried-and-true NBA veterans this offseason with James Johnson, DeAndre’ Bembry, and Patty Mills coming through free agency, while they acquired Jevon Carter through a trade with the Suns.
