Jordan Clarkson named Sixth Man of the Year over finalists Derrick Rose, Joe Ingles

UPDATE: Jordan Clarkson has been named Sixth Man of the Year, per Shams Charania. He was the favorite among the finalists, ahead of Derrick Rose and Joe Ingles.

Derrick Rose, Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles are finalists for 2020-21 Sixth Man of the Year, the NBA announced. Clarkson is the favorite to win the award at -200, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. His Utah Jazz teammate Ingles is second-favorite at +140. The duo was instrumental in helping the Jazz secure the best record in the West. Clarkson averaged a career-high 18.4 points per game off the bench while Ingles added 12.1 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. The former MVP Rose was part of the New York Knicks’ stunning rise to the No. 4 seed in the East, averaging 14.9 points per game in 35 appearances with the team. Rose was previously traded to Knicks in 2016. He is +10000 to win the award.

The announcement means for the first time in three seasons, a Los Angeles Clippers player will not be taking home this award. Montrezl Harrell secured the honor last season after Lou Williams went back-to-back in 2017-18 and 2018-19. If Clarkson or Ingles win, it’ll be the first time a member of the Jazz has won the award.
