Update: LeBron James is not expected to play Tuesday vs. the Knicks, per Woj.

The Knicks will enter Tuesday night’s game with a 38-30 record, which is the fourth best mark in the Eastern Conference. New York has won 13 of their last 16 games and should be safe from participating in the play-in tournament. They are three games ahead of the current No. 7 seed Boston Celtics with four games to play. Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley missed the last two games with injuries and are questionable for Tuesday night’s game.

The Lakers have the exact same record as New York, but they need to string together some wins to avoid the play-in tournament. Los Angeles has the seventh best record in the West, and they are 1.5 games behind the Portland Trail Blazers for the No. 6 seed with four games left. LeBron James is expected to return to the floor after sitting out each of the last four games, and Kyle Kuzma is questionable with a back injury. Jared Dudley and Dennis Schroder remain out.
