The Heat are looking for a better offensive showing than last game. It may be tough to come by considering a few star players are injured. Both Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are questionable to play in the last game before the All-Star break. Miami could only muster 80 points in a home loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. A win against the Pels would give the Heat a .500 record. (18-18) heading into the second half.
The Pelicans battled back on Wednesday night but it wasn’t enough in a close loss to the Chicago Bulls at home. It was their third loss in four games, though the lone win was against the top team in the West in the Utah Jazz. Zion Williamson has been a problem for opponents and the Pels need to keep feeding the big man. Zion has at least 26 points in five of his past six games. New Orleans could use some tightening up on defense and a matchup vs. the Heat may be the perfect remedy.
