The Trail Blazers enter the trade deadline still looking to add a big body. Portland has lost two in a row and needs to keep pace in the competitive West. LaMarcus Aldridge has been rumored as a target, a possible reunion with the team he started his NBA career with a while back. The Blazers could look to add a small piece and wait until the buyout market opens up.
The Heat should be active heading into the trade deadline. Miami has plenty of young assets and still has the core intact from last season’s run to the NBA Finals. All the Heat need to do is get into the postseason and take off again. Miami has been linked to PG Kyle Lowry, who could be dealt before 3 p.m. ET today. The Heat have lost four in a row but are still in the middle of the East playoff picture. Adding another All-Star caliber player to the core of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro would go a long way.
