ESPN will host Wednesday’s matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz, with tip off set for 10:00 p.m. ET. The game will take place at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. The Nets did that thing when they get a win on the road against a tough opponent without two superstars. James Harden had entered Tuesday’s game with a questionable tag due to a neck injury. He was able to play, posting 25 points and 17 assists. Harden had an off night despite the stats, shooting 7-of-24 from the floor and 0-of-7 from beyond the arc. It’s a testament to the team around him. He won’t be able to have the same performance without Kyrie Irving against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
The Jazz have strung together two wins in a row, albeit against weak competition in the Toronto Raptors (9 straight losses) and Chicago Bulls. Rudy Gobert has been dealing with a hip injury and was questionable prior to the win over the Bulls on Monday. At 31-11, the Jazz hold a 2.0 game lead over the Phoenix Suns for first place in the West. With the Nets on the second night of a road back-to-back without both Irving and Kevin Durant, this is a game the Jazz need to take care of business.
