New York Knicks All-Star PF Julius Randle is set to partake in the Skills Challenge prior to the NBA All-Star Game in Atlanta on Sunday, Marc Stein of The New York Times reported Tuesday afternoon. Randle is in the midst of his best NBA season with the Knicks, which resulted in making his first All-Star team for the East. We’ve seen in recent years the Skills Challenge welcoming in more big men into the competition. Randle is the first player reported as competing in the event, which will take place prior to the actual game.

The NBA hasn’t released the full list of participants for any of the three events at the All-Star Game: the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Dunk Contest. We know Randle’s teammate Obi Toppin is expected to partake in the Dunk Contest, per report.
