The Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons will not play Wednesday in Dallas after the Governor of Texas declared a state of emergency amid snowstorms, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday afternoon. The state of Texas has been in disarray while snowstorms continue to all throughout the region. Dallas is playing it safe and not forcing the two teams to play Wednesday.
This is the second postponed game for the Pistons, who aren’t playing Tuesday after four San Antonio Spurs players tested positive for Covid-19. This is the first non-Covid related game to be postponed this season, bringing the total to over 30 games overall. The Spurs won’t play their next three games, while the Charlotte Hornets just had two games postponed. The Spurs and Hornets played each other on Sunday.
