Joel Embiid’s MVP form has helped power Philly to the best record (18-7) in the Eastern Conference. The Process is averaging a double-double and leads the Sixers in points (29.1), rebounds (11), and blocks (1.2) per game. Ben Simmon’s scoring is down, but he’s rebounding and passing as well as he ever has. Tobias Harris averaging 20 points per game on 51.5% shooting, and Seth Curry has helped solidify Philly’s perimeter scoring alongside Danny Green. Can the Sixers win a third straight game?
The Trail Blazers got off to a slow start this season but have fared well lately despite dealing with long-term injuries to CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic. Damian Lillard has maintained his usual excellence on the offensive end, and he’s gotten plenty of help from Enes Kanter, Carmelo, Anthony, and Gary Trent Jr. to help Portland stay in the playoff picture. The Blazers struggle to protect the paint on defense, though, and Embiid could have a chance to eclipse the 37 points he scored against them earlier this month.
