TNT will host Thursday’s matchup between the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets, with tip off set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and will be nationally broadcast by ESPN. The Heat have been extremely underwhelming this season but have gained momentum thanks to three straight wins. Injuries have continued to plague Miami, but getting Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler back could help it climb the ranks. The Heat are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the NBA, but luckily a key member of the Rockets’ elite defense could be out a commission.
The Rockets have had one of the best defensive ratings in the league since James Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. However, Christian Wood is being evaluated weekly because of the ankle sprain he suffered against the Memphis Grizzlies. Wood is the best rim protection Houston has, and DeMarcus Cousins will have a tough matchup against Adebayo. The Rockets’ backcourt duo of John Wall and Victor Oladipo will have to pick up the slack for Wood missing time if he’s ruled out.
