ESPN will host a second primetime NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday night at 10:00 p.m. ET. The Warriors defeated the Timberwolves 130-108 on Monday night to snap their two-game winning streak. Golden State has won three of their last five games. In Monday night’s win, Stephen Curry led both teams in scoring with 36 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from three-point range. He was one of five Warriors players to reach double-figures. Former Timberwolves draft pick Andrew Wiggins was right behind Curry with 23 points and six rebounds.
The Timberwolves entered Monday night’s game without D’Angelo Russell, who was out with a quad contusion. Without Russell, Minnesota turned to Malik Beasley as their top offensive option. Beasley recorded 30 points (10-18 FG, 4-9 3pt) and seven rebounds. Along with Beasley, the Timberwolves had four other players score at least 10 points or more, including first overall pick Anthony Edwards. Minnesota has lost four out of their last five games and hope to have Russell for tip-off.
