The game on Monday between the Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat has been delayed from 3 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET due to health and safety protocols. There’s a chance this game will end up being postponed by the NBA, which has postponed over 15 games in the past two weeks. There are Covid-19 contact tracing concerns surrounding the Heat, who have had multiple players in health and safety protocols over the last week.
We’re unsure how this will impact the two separate slates on DraftKings. Heat-Pistons was supposed to be on the early slate, which locks at 2:30 p.m. ET after the start of the Timberwolves-Hawks game. Pistons-Heat could be removed from the early slate and added to the late slate, but we also know this game may be postponed. I’d steer clear of this game altogether if you think it’ll be canceled. In season-long leagues, it may be best to start players from other games due to the risk.
