UPDATE: Sept. 9, 10:24 p.m. — Chauncey Billups had mentioned he wanted to throw his hat into the head coaching ring. He’s reportedly drawing interest from the Pacers, per Woj.

The Indiana Pacers are among a handful of teams looking to bring in a new head coach this offseason. The Pacers have a list and as of now, that includes a few interesting names. Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon and former Kings head coach Dave Joerger are the top candidates, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Along with Hammon and Joerger, the Pacers are expected to interview around a dozen potential candidates. That list also includes Spurs assistant Will Hardy, Heat assistants Dan Craig and Chris Quinn, Mavericks assistants Jamahl Mosley and Stephen Silas, as well as plenty other big names. Sixers assistant Ime Udoka has been a popular target of many teams looking for a new coach. Bucks assistant Darvin Ham is on there. Nets assistant and former interim head coach Jacques Vaughn will be considered.

You’ve also got to assume that Billy Donovan may get a look from the Pacers as well. He’s not reupping with the Thunder after they were bounced from the playoffs by the Rockets. Donovan wasn’t reported as being targeted by the Pacers as of now. It would make sense with such a long list for the Pacers to talk to an established head coach like Billy D.
