Report: Kendrick Nunn leaves NBA bubble due to personal reasons

With Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic ailing, Nunn leaving means another back court body down for Miami.

Miami Heat G Kendrick Nunn has left the NBA bubble in Orlando due to personal reasons not related to Covid-19, the Miami Herald reported Friday evening.

This couldn’t come at a worse time for the Heat, who are currently without Jimmy Butler (foot) and Goran Dragic (ankle). There’s a chance Dragic returns for their game Saturday vs. the Phoenix Suns. He’s listed as questionable. Still, the Heat are losing depth in the back court and need to win games to maintain standing in the East. Let’s look at the impact of Nunn leaving on DFS.

Fantasy basketball impact

Assuming Butler and Dragic both remain out on Saturday, the Heat will need to resort to a back court featuring Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro. Robinson would need to run the point with Herro at SG. We also could see some Andre Iguodala as the primary ball-handler if Dragic is out. Hopes have got to be that Miami gets Dragic back to start at PG. If that is the case, Dragic makes for a good DFS option against the Suns on Saturday. If it isn’t the case, again, look to Herro, Iggy and Robinson.
