AD carries Lakers to win over Jazz to clinch No. 1 seed in West

Anthony Davis put the team on his back again with 42 points on Monday night. Let’s take a look at his performance.

It’s a good thing Anthony Davis is a massive specimen and can carry a lot of things on his back. Because the weight of the Los Angeles Lakers’ offense probably weighs a lot. Davis scored 42 points with 12 rebounds to lead the Lakers to a 116-108 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night in the NBA bubble in Orlando. The Lakers clinched the No. 1 overall seed in the Western Conference with the win.

This is the second game of at least 34 points for Davis in the bubble. It was his first double-double after struggling against the Toronto Raptors’ front line in a loss over the weekend. This was a prime matchup for AD to dominate since the Jazz have been forced to play Royce O’Neale at PF with Bojan Bogdanovic sidelined. Not to say Bojan could do any better, nothing against my boy Royce.

At $9.800 on DraftKings, Davis was sort of a no-brainer for the main slate and night slate. He dropped a cool 74 fantasy points on DK to return big value, essentially breaking the slate open a bit after plenty of sub-par studs earlier on. AD will continue to be chalk so long as LeBron James remains more of a facilitator and the rest of the Lakers’ roster just stands by and watches.
