Now, this isn’t to suggest nobody has tested positive for any NBA teams recently. It just means that of the 346 players inside the Orlando NBA bubble, no new positive tests have popped up. This is a good sign for the NBA’s restart, which is expected to get going next week on July 30. We’ve got scrimmages starting this Wednesday, so we’ll see if players getting into close contact with each other will impact test results at all.
You’ve got to praise the NBA for keeping things under control with Florida’s cases of Covid-19 going up each day. Earlier in the day, Bucks G Pat Connaughton tested positive for coronavirus outside of the bubble. We also know that Kings C Alex Len recently tested positive. It will be interesting to see if players heading into the bubble after quarantining will impact players already inside the bubble. Only time will tell.
