Report: Walt Disney World Resort could be site to finish NBA season

The League is mulling over ideas of how to return to the regular season. EPCOT would certainly have a lot of appealing.

We’ve seen a lot of reports get thrown out for how the NBA — and other sports leagues — may return to play this season. One place that makes a lot of sense? EPCOT. Walt Disney World Resort has been thrown around as a site to finish the regular season, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday evening.

We’ve seen this report sort of get thrown out there before, but there wasn’t much clarity to it. Now we know that this is being discussed and the logistics make a lot of sense. With Walt Disney essentially shut down right now, there’s plenty of room to house 30 NBA teams. It may seem like a lot but keeping players isolated or at a safe social distance wouldn’t be too difficult. The Disney/ABC/ESPN/NBA connection could help expedite any sort of process this would take to complete.
