UPDATE: March 17, 5:26 p.m. — Kevin Durant is among the four players who tested positive for COVID-19, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday afternoon.

Durant is just the latest NBA player to test positive for COVID-19 and is one of four players on the Nets who is infected. Durant seems to be doing well and has looked great in his recovery from a torn Achilles. Shams also reported that Durant has not shown any symptoms of coronavirus and has advised everyone to stay quarantined.

The Brooklyn Nets announced Tuesday afternoon that four players have tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus. Here is the full statement from the team:

The team states that three of the four players are asymptomatic, while one has shown symptoms. Names were not disclosed to the public. The Nets were not among the teams to have played the Utah Jazz in recent weeks. The Jazz have two players who have tested positive for coronavirus. That initially is what forced the NBA to suspend the season last Wednesday.

The Nets are currently 30-34 and in the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference with the League on hiatus. The Nets had won three in a row before the break. There has been talk of the Nets trying to bring back Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving if the playoffs get pushed back enough. KD denied these claims, though we’ll see where he’s at in a few months. Durant has looked pretty good during practice. Right now, it’s hard to gauge any teams outlook.

Irving underwent surgery at the end of February and was ruled out for the rest of the season. The recovery window for an injury like this weeks to months. Well, Irving will have about 2-3 months to recover if the League comes back in June.
