Report: Zach LaVine will participate in All-Star Weekend 3-point contest

Bulls guard will represent city, is switching it up from the high-flying dunks he’s known for this All-Star Weekend.

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine isn’t an All-Star this year, but he will be participating in All-Star festivities. The two-time slam dunk champ won’t be dropping any hammers, but is expected to be in the 3-point shooting contest, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

LaVine won the dunk contest in back-to-back years (2015 and 2016) as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, but has transformed into more of a perimeter shooter since being traded to the Bulls. He has already connected on a career high 154 long balls this year in just 52 games on 37.6% shooting.
