We still have a lot of the 2019-20 NBA season left with key events coming up, including the Trade Deadline and All-Star Weekend. With that said, it’s not too early to look ahead to the 2020 NBA Draft. DraftKings Sportsbook has posted odds for who will be selected with the first overall pick in the draft in June. The 2020 draft is set for Thursday, June 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Let’s take a look at the top 10 players with the best odds to be selected No. 1 overall.

2020 NBA Draft: Updated No. 1 Pick Odds

Player Position Team Odds
Anthony Edwards SG Georgia +125

Isaac Okoro G/F Auburn +350
James Wiseman C N/A +400

Killian Hayes G Ulm (Bundesliga) +1000

Going over some of the prospects, it’s most likely down to two guys: Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman. Edwards, a freshman at Georgia, is a 6’5” combo guard that should fit into the NBA nicely. He’s averaging 18.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 20 games for the Bulldogs so far this season.

Wiseman was at Memphis for his freshman season, but because of NCAA violations and issues, he left school. Now, he’s focusing on the NBA Draft and where he’ll be playing next season. Wiseman is an athletic big man who was posting monster numbers for the Tigers before leaving, averaging 19.7 points and 10.7 rebounds while shooting 76.9% from the field. If I had to lean one way or the other, I’d guess Wiseman makes more sense as the No. 1 overall pick given you can’t teach size like his and his athleticism is unquestioned.

Some of the teams who could be choosing between Edwards, Wiseman or another prospect include the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. The Cavs are familiar with this situation, they almost always have a shot at the first pick as long as LeBron James isn’t on their team. The Warriors are only down in the dumps due to injuries to Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. The Hawks are in a rebuild and have some promising pieces in Trae Young and John Collins. Atlanta still isn’t quite there yet and appears poised to draft high again.
