The Dallas Mavericks have touched base with veteran PF/C Joakim Noah, ESPN’s TimMacMahon reported Wednesday.

This is an immediately result of Dwight Powell rupturing his Achilles in Tuesday’s game vs. the Los Angeles Clippers. With Powell likely out for the season, Noah would add depth to the front court. Noah played 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, averaging 7.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game. Those numbers actually aren’t that bad for what was a poor Grizz squad. On the Mavs, Noah would be another option to play with Kristaps Porzingis at PF.
