UPDATE: Aldridge has been ruled out again for tonight’s game. With no LMA, the Rockets become a very appealing betting option on DK Sportsbook at -6.5. That line has already moved up a point. We should see Jakob Poeltl get another start for the Spurs, so he’s a decent value option on DraftKings at $4,800.

UPDATE: Aldridge went through shootaround Tuesday and is still questionable for tonight’s game vs. the Rockets. It’s encouraging news that he participated in shootaround, usually an indicator that a player will be able to come back. Still, keep an eye on this situation. It would impact betting lines a lot with the Rockets only favored by 5.5 points on DK Sportsbook.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: San Antonio Spurs PF/C LaMarcus Aldridge
Aldridge was a late scratch from Sunday’s game against the Detroit Pistons. In his place, the Spurs started Jakob Poeltl, who had eight points, five rebounds and three steals in 23 minutes. Poeltl had a difficult time against Andre Drummond, so if LMA is out again, this would be a bit of an easier matchup against the Rockets.
Clint Capela is set to return, but other than him, Houston’s front court is relatively thin. Plus, the Rockets play up in pace, so Poeltl would have more rebounding opportunities. If Aldridge is back, he’s safe to roll out in all formats, season-long and DFS, though he hasn’t been a great play on DraftKings this season.
