UPDATE: Nets coach Kenny Atkinson had an update on Kyrie Irving early on Sunday.
Atkinson on Irving: "Good news now, he's on court working, no contact yet, and no specific timetable. I do feel better than a week ago it's progressing in the right direction." #nets

It seems things are going well for Irving, who hasn’t been cleared for contact, but is doing work in practice. There was also another interesting lineup nugget from Zach Braziller pertaining to Spencer Dinwiddie:
Kenny Atkinson not ready to say if Spencer Dinwiddie will stay in starting lineup when Kyrie Irving returns. Has thought about it, but "lot of things to juggle." #nets

With the way Dinwiddie is playing right now, it would make sense for Atkinson to leave him in the starting lineup at shooting guard next to Irving. I guess the one issue is both of them are better with the ball in their hands. We’ll keep an eye on this situation as Kyrie gets closer to returning.
The Brooklyn Nets have been without point guard Kyrie Irving for the past eight games with the All-Star dealing with a shoulder injury. He’s expected to miss his ninth straight game of the season Sunday vs. the Miami Heat.
The Nets are coming off a win over the Boston Celtics, Kyrie’s former team. The Celtics had defeated Brooklyn on Wednesday, with the hometown crowd chanting “Kyrie sucks!” early on in the contest. The Celtics went on to win the game and Irving lashed out at the chants via Instagram, calling sports and entertainment “ignorant and obtrusive” in a long post.
With so much news surrounding Irving’s injury and in the headlines, we’ll be keeping an eye on him the rest of the season. Check back here for updates throughout 2019-20.
