Kyrie Irving wasn’t present when the Brooklyn Nets went to TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics, which would have been his first game back in Boston since leaving the team via free agency. Well, Irving’s absence didn’t stop Celtics fans from serenading the point guard from the stands.
Celtics fans heckled Irving with chants of “Kyrie Sucks!” early on in the game despite him not even being in the building.

Here’s Kyrie response on Instagram transcribed by a fan account kyrie.wrld:
Specifically Kyrie calls sports and entertainment “ignorant and obtrusive” which is an interesting take. I can see both sides of this feud. Irving said he wanted to stay in Boston and didn’t keep his word. But things obviously weren’t working out between coach Brad Stevens, Irving and his teammates, so can you really blame him for leaving? Plus, it was probably for the best, right? Kemba Walker, who scored 39 points on Wednesday, has filled in nicely for Irving.
Let’s see if anything pops up when the Celtics and Nets face each other again on Friday in Brooklyn.
