Justise Winslow probable to return to Heat lineup Wednesday vs. the Rockets

Miami may get guard back, but Jimmy Butler could be ruled out. We break down the fantasy basketball impact.

The Miami Heat may be getting guard Justise Winslow back in the lineup for Wednesday night’s game against the Houston Rockets. Winslow has been out since Nov. 7 due to a concussion and this is the closest he’s been to returning. It is worth noting that if Winslow is able to return tomorrow night, he’d likely be on a minutes restriction. Also adding another wrinkle is shooting guard Jimmy Butler (illness) is questionable to play. Let’s take a look at how it will affect the Heat’s rotation.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Miami Heat guards Justise Winslow and Jimmy Butler

So if Winslow returns he will probably start, but would likely see limited minutes. Because of this, it’s hard to trust him in both season-long and DFS formats. Depending on Butler’s status we could see Kendrick Nunn and/or Duncan Robinson head back to the bench. But let’s say Butler is out and Winslow is limited, both Nunn and Robinson retain some value, at least in DFS, depending on their prices. The biggest benefactor could be rookie Tyler Herro, who has been playing big minutes off the bench, but could start in place of Butler as well. If Butler is out, Herro could be featured heavily in the offense.
