UPDATE: Kemba Walker has been confirmed in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game vs. the Brooklyn Nets. It’s good news after the nasty injury we all thought Walker suffered a few games ago. Now, he’ll return to the starting lineup in a prime spot vs. the Nets at TD Garden. It’s unclear how many minutes Walker will see, but it’s safe to say that he may be limited in this game.

This is some surprising news on Tuesday evening. The Boston Celtics have upgraded point guard Kemba Walker to probable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden. Walker appeared to suffer a nasty neck injury last Friday and missed Monday’s game vs. the Kings. But now it looks like he’s got a chance to play tomorrow. Clearly he’s over any concussion-like symptoms and his neck is feeling fine.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Boston Celtics PG Kemba Walker

With Walker on track to return, we can banish Brad Wanamaker from our chalk lineups forever. Well, not forever, but in the short term. We can also expect less usage from Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart.

It also puts the Celtics in a great position overall vs. the Nets, with PG Kyrie Irving not slated to play in this game due to a shoulder injury. Unless Walker is expected to be hampered by his neck and limited to 20-25 minutes, we can feel safe rolling him out in DFS lineups and season-long. Also of note, Daniel Theis (illness) is questionable to play, so his absence would again open up minutes for Enes Kanter and Robert Williams in the front court.
