Kevin Love listed as out for Monday’s game vs. the Knicks

On the early NBA Injury Report for Monday night’s nine-game slate, the Cavaliers have Kevin Love (back) listed as out for tonight’s game vs. the New York Knicks. Love appeared to jam his knee over the weekend, but it looks like this injury is of the back variety. There have also been trade rumors going around surrounding Love, so it’s in Cleveland’s best interest to protect its asset.

With Love out, Tristan Thompson ($5,600) instantly becomes a must-play in cash lineups. Not only is this matchup pristine vs. the Knicks, but the Cavs don’t really have anyone else behind Thompson at center with Larry Nance Jr. (thumb) also listed as out for tonight’s game. Thompson came one point and one board away from a double-double a few games ago vs. New York, and I’d expect his floor to be in that range. He should get more touches on offense and plenty of rebounding opportunities with Love and Nance out.
