Cincinnati Reds hitter Nick Castellanos has a microfracture in his wrist. He has been out of the lineup since Friday and with this news, it should be at least a few more days before his able to return.
Santana, Jansen leave Wednesday’s game
On the same play, Boston Red Sox outfielder Danny Santana and Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen were injured. Santana injured his groin trying to make a play in the field, while Jansen hurt his hamstring running out his double.
Rojas injures finger
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Josh Rojas dislocated his finger stealing second base on Wednesday and was forced to leave the game.
Akin, Santander land on COVID-19 list
Baltimore Orioles starter Keegan Akin and Anthony Santander did not play in Wednesday’s game and have been placed on the COVID-19 list.
Kirilloff placed on IL
Minnesota Twins 23-year-old outfielder Alex Kirilloff will undergo a wrist surgery for an injury that has lingered. He is on the injured list now and may be out for the rest of the season.
