We have a 17-game slate in the majors on Friday, beginning at 2:10 p.m. ET. There are a lot good matchups happening across the league that will not only have betting but also fantasy implications. Over the course of the day, we will be keeping up to date with the latest injury and lineup news before first pitch between the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers.

The second half of the MLB season was supposed to begin on Thursday night between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. However, the game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Yankees’ organization. The two teams are scheduled to play at 7:05 p.m. ET. As of right now, Martin Perez is slated to start for the BoSox, while the Yankees have yet to name a starter. Before we wrap up, we had a trade go down between the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. The Braves acquired outfielder Joc Pederson from the Cubs after they lost Ronald Acuna Jr. last week to a torn ACL. The Braves will open up a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:20 p.m. ET.
