We start the final week in June off with an 11-game slate in Major League Baseball on Monday, June 28th. In order to make the best fantasy baseball lineup decisions and betting picks, you’ll need to follow the news very carefully. Here we’ll be highlighting all the most important lineup changes and injury updates throughout the day leading up to the start of the first game and through lineup lock on DraftKings at 7:05 p.m. ET.

The New York Yankees begin a four-game set at home against the Los Angeles Angels and Shohei Ohtani, who has 7 HRs over his past 10 games. Ohtani is slated to pitch later in the week on Wednesday, but we should see him in the lineup on Monday night. The Yankees are reeling after being swept by the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. Is Aaron Boone going to managing for his job this week? We’ll see how far the Bronx Bombers have to fall in the AL East for that to be the case.

Other notable rivalry series starting on Monday include the New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals, as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants. Below we’ll keep you up to date on all the latest lineup news and injuries.

MLB lineups and injuries — Monday, June 28th

Twins-White Sox game rained out

Monday night’s game between the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox has been rained out.

Pablo Espino to start for Nationals

The Nats begin a series against the New York Mets on Monday night and Espino ($5,600) will get the start. He’s only really been stretched twice in 17 appearances so far this season, so there’s a chance Espino really only serves as an opener in a bullpen day. He’s pitched well this season with a 2.35 ERA but pitches to a lot of contact, not really striking out many batters.

Tyler Naquin scratched vs. Phillies

The Reds scratched CF Tyler Naquin from Monday’s lineup vs. the Phils due to a sore wrist. Naquin was batting 5th in the order but now Shogo Akiyama will start in the outfield and slide into the 5-hole.

Bryce Harper returns to lineup vs. Reds

We’ve got our first nugget of news on the day. Harper (calf) is back in the lineup on Monday vs. the Cincinnati Reds after sitting on Sunday following a HBP in the Philadelphia Phillies’ series vs. the New York Mets. Harper will bat cleanup for the Phils against left-hander Wade Miley of the Reds. Harper is slightly worse against lefties in 2021, but it isn’t enough to be concerned since Miley isn’t that imposing. Harper is $5,200 on the all-day DraftKings slate for MLB tonight. Here’s the Phils full lineup:
